7:00 A.M. :

Meeting at Agujitas Beach, Drake Bay

The day starts at Agujitas Beach, where participants check in and receive a safety briefing. Diving equipment is inspected, and guides answer any questions before boarding the boat to Caño Island Marine Reserve.

7:20 A.M. :

Boat Ride to Caño Island

The boat ride takes approximately 45 minutes, offering stunning coastal views and the chance to spot dolphins, sea turtles, and, in season, humpback whales.

8:15 A.M. :

First Dive Session

Upon arrival at Caño Island, divers explore one of Costa Rica’s richest marine biodiversity areas. Expect to see reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, tropical fish, and schools of pelagic fish. Visibility often exceeds 24 meters, providing an incredible underwater experienc

9:00 A.M. :

Surface Interval on the Island

After the first dive, participants enjoy a break on the island to rest, hydrate, and take in the natural surroundings. Some operators provide light snacks during this pause.

9:30 A.M. :

Second Dive Session

Divers explore a different site around the island, discovering new marine ecosystems and encountering an even greater variety of sea life.

11:00 A.M. :

Lunch at San Josecito Beach

Depending on the season and sea conditions, you’ll either head to San Josecito Beach or return directly to Drake Bay for lunch.

12:30 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. :

Return to Drake Bay

The tour concludes with a boat ride back to Agujitas Beach, arriving around 1:30 pm. Participants can continue exploring the area or return to their accommodations.
