Description
San Pedrillo Station is one of the most accessible entrances to Corcovado National Park from Drake Bay, making it perfect for travelers who want to explore the park in just one day. After a short 25-minute boat ride, you’ll arrive at the edge of primary rainforest and begin your guided adventure through trails filled with unique plants, rivers, and stunning coastal views.
As you hike with your certified naturalist guide, expect to spot wildlife such as howler monkeys, coatis, scarlet macaws, toucans, and many tropical birds. San Pedrillo is especially popular with birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts thanks to its variety of species and the chance to encounter rare animals like tapirs or anteaters.
Mid-day you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the ranger station and may visit a refreshing waterfall pool before heading back. The mix of wildlife, dense rainforest, and ocean scenery makes this a true Corcovado adventure.
